Does Mercury(II) fulminate really react the way it did on breaking bad?

In season 1 episode 6 of breaking bad Walter takes some mercury fulminate a blows up Tuco's HQ. Can it really cause the explosion that it did in the show?

The answer was given in mythbusters; to test the mercury fulminate, 5 grams (in the show Walt had around 50g) of the stuff (which was wired to a squib) was placed inside a pumpkin. The mission was to see if it made a 'big' explosion; the results were good. The pumpkin was literally no more; check out the video.

Bio-sensor can detect water contamination fast

Grad students in denmark have been able to develop a new bio-sensor which promises to spot unclean water in a matter of seconds. A technology such as this, if put into production can prove to be so useful for companies who depend upon fast lab results to get an all clear for clean water. 

"I believe that our product will revolutionise the way microbiological water quality measurements are made," said Erik Gustav Skands, a graduate students from the Technical University of Denmark and CEO of the tech startup, SBT Aqua. The team behind the invention hopes to bring it to market some time next year.
